I have really enjoyed taking Melanie's classes. The qigong forms and breathing practices help me focus my awareness fully on the present moment. When I'm doing qigong, time slows. The thoughts that clamor for my attention on a regular basis are quieted. For the one hour that I am in class, nothing is rushed, movements are deliberate. Having that one hour as an anchor in the week helps me extend that presence of mind to the rest of the week.

Qigong has been, for me, a spiritual practice. The forms and breathing methods have brought aspects of my interior self clearly into focus. They have helped me gain some critical distance from the negative voices inside my head and have helped me acknowledge and affirm my best self. They have helped me ensure that the work I do in the world is done with clear vision and a loving heart.
